There can be thousands of reasons why you might want to buy sheds. Some people need space for a game room, or a hobby room, a workshop, for use as a home gym, or, as strange as it might sound, for storage! No matter what the underlying reason, we can all use some extra enclosed space from time to time.

You know what you will use your utility building for, now the second step is determining how much space you will need. The size is determined by the use of the building. If the building is to be used solely for storage, simply adding the number of cubic feet of material to be stored will give you a good starting point. In such cases, you should remember to leave room for aisle space.

As an example, if you have 20 boxes measuring 1 foot in height, width, and length, this would equal a space of 20 cubic feet. If these boxes are stacked 2 high, the amount of floor space they would occupy would be 10 square feet.

If you are planning another use such as a craft room, you will need to determine the amount of space need for equipment and performing the tasks needed for work on the project. After you have determined the amount of space you know you will need, add 10 to 20 percent to that figure. I have never known anyone to be sorry for getting more space, and I have known many who were sorry for not getting enough.
Your buildings usage will also help you determine the type of building you need.
