Matching your building with your landscape.

How will your storage shed fit into your landscape? Well, if you have chosen your colors and style with the way they will match your home and landscape in mind, it should look fine. There are other factors to consider.

Your storage building and mowing.

Where the storage building is placed is important for your landscapes maintenance. If you can’t get a mower between the storage shed and the the fence, or the landscape beds, there will have to be some extra trimming.

Storage buildings and irrigation.

If  the building is placed on top of an irrigation head, you will have problems, so make sure that the building is placed where no head exists, or rearrange the heads for proper placement.

The building will prevent some irrigation heads from reaching the end of their arch, so some areas may not water properly until adjusted. This will need to be done after the building is in place.

Landscaping your Storage shed.

If your building is in a spot by itself, it does run the risk of looking a little lonely, and out of place. One way to resolve this problem is with a little creative landscaping.

Landscaping mistakes to avoid.

I will not go into great detail on how to do this, but you can make it as simple or elaborate as you need to match your home and your wider landscape. I will however, offer a suggestion or two on what not to do. Try not to use plants that will require large amounts of water. This could cause moisture related problems like mold, and insects.

Keep the plants a foot or more from the side of the building. This will help you to avoid spiders and bugs in your building.

These few ideas will help you to get the best experience when matching up your building with your wider landscape, and how to avoid some potential problems.
