There are a lot of people looking for cheap storage buildings these days. With the economy stumbling around like a drunk man on a rope bridge, and uncertainty in many sectors, coupled with mortgage crisis, and soaring unemployment, a lot of folks are having to downsize until the recovery sets in. The same is true in reverse if you are renting space in a public storage, or self storage facility. It may be cheap to get into, but the cost of storing those $2000.00 worth of electronics can quickly get beyond their value in monthly rental fees.

It just makes more sense to buy, and to buy a quality product. Most storage building, and storage shed dealers offer “rent to own”, and the payments for a building will be similar to what you would be paying in a self storage or public storage facility. With a national credit crisis causing lending problems, and often bad credit, rent to own offers a nice alternative to borrowing from a bank, and in most cases, there is no penalty for early payoff, and no hit to your credit if you have to allow the building to be returned.

Whichever means of financing you use, don’t get caught in the public storage trap, and don’t buy a poorly built building. It is much cheaper in the long run to buy instead of leasing, and to buy quality instead of… well, you know.
