Practical Christmas Gifts
Under normal economic conditions, buying a “practical” gift for your wife could be a a dangerous thing. Buying the wife a washing machine for Christmas, or as an anniversary present has always been a sure fire way to get into the dog house, but this seems to be changing.
A lot of the luxury items on display at retailers throughout the country are going un-purchased, because people just can’t afford them this year, and in their place, consumers are buying practical gifts. It has become a nationally recognized trend. Even Oprah has foregone her normal “gift” show, and is proposing less opulent alternatives.
I was once given a case of my favorite coffee as a Christmas gift, and it is still one of my favorite memories!
We are hearing from people who are buying utility buildings and turning them into game rooms, TV rooms, long term storage rooms (the cost is a lot less in the long run, than renting storage space) hobby and craft rooms, and other uses to save or make money.
Buying your husband or wife a storage building for Christmas might be just the ticket! It can be used for crafts, hobbies, exercise, storage, or any number of other uses, and it would even make a great doghouse for you if you forget the anniversary!
